Customer facing technical consultant with wide ranging technical and non technical skills including advanced Transact-Sql programming and scripting. To work on Implementation projects, product configuration, integration, windows architecture and networking, proposals, presentations and training.

Introduction

xAssets is a provider of latest technology Asset Management Software, based on Microsoft .NET technologies. We have a base of around 70 enterprise customers worldwide and offices in Wiltshire, Massachusetts and Brisbane, plus a number of resellers. Recent growth in sales related to the release of our new Version 6 product line has resulted in the need for more people to assist with the delivery of implementation services, training and ongoing product configuration.

You would be based out of an informal rural office in Melksham, Wiltshire and will occasionally work from home or out of client sites. You should live within easy travelling distance of West Wiltshire.

Salary negotiable probably in the range £20000 to £45000 with the possibility of further increases depending on experience, performance in the role and company performance.

Role

We need a dynamic, customer facing, Microsoft qualified, all rounder Technical Consultant to assist in many aspects of the business including the following:

• Customer Implementations
• Enterprise Application Integration
• Develop new configurations of existing products
• Develop reporting and charts
• Specifications for client projects
• Support existing customers, including some evening support cover
• Perform installation and configuration for customers through VPNs
• Testing
• Product documentation
• Presales presentations with a sales person
• Travel to the USA and other countries for customer installations and training
• Conduct PIR’s and periodic reviews with customers

We would prefer CVs from individuals with commercial awareness and good intuition who can hit the ground running and make a real difference through hard work and dedication.

Qualifications

Only UK passport holders without a criminal record can apply for this role since MOD security clearance will be needed. You do not need to hold current clearance.

We expect good ‘A’ levels and / or a good degree. Candidates should have commercial intuition and good common sense. strong technical skills are essential. Some kind of MCP/MCSD/E qualification is important although you may be able to take these exams while working for us.
